This Gold_DAVE_DE_CROM handmade direct drive machine will work great with conventional needles and is a perfect machine in combination with cartridges.
Well balanced handmade direct drive with a reliable/powerful ballbearing loaded Faulhaber motor, adjustable stroke and good looks
Made by hand with a raw blackened/waxed steel finish.
Voltages
4.5V-5.5V for dotwork
6V-7V for shadowing and colouring
6V-7.5V for lining
You can use these guidelines as a startingpoint.
Stroke
The stroke can be adjusted and 0.25mm can make a huge difference in how it feels.
The stroke is standard set to 3.8-4mm, which is a great allround setting and great for packing colour.
3-3.5mm can be used for soft shading.
5mm or even 5.5mm can be great for dotwork but is only achievable when you work with cartridges.
With a conventional needle setup the needlebar will hit the back of your tube and the machine will not run properly.
I advice you to experiment a little bit with these
setting.
