We present the long -awaited Japanese Flora Vol. 2 of Sören Sangkuhl. This sequel is based on the success of the original edition launched in 2018 and offers an enriching continuation of its predecessor.
This book is the culmination of the incessant search for artistic expression of Sören, and reflects his deep passion for pencil and paper. Throughout the years elapsed since the first volume, he has felt an increasing need to articulate his artistic vision. Innumerable hours were dedicated to this project (approximately 700) where Sören meticulously transformed ideas from his mind to the role. His instinctively guide hand each line, resulting in a natural flow that contradicts the effort behind it. Those who know Sören know that he leaves nothing to chance; Every detail is meticulously planned and executed precisely.

The book consists of nine chapters, each of which shows several species of flowers.
Each chapter begins with two pages of technical tutorials, followed by fully made illustrations.
To conclude each section, there are specially designed Japanese family shields, known as Kamon, which have been part of Japanese culture for centuries. Accompanying these designs there is a detailed description of each flower, including when and how to use them, which makes this book informative and inspiring.
